Norwalk Furniture Presents an Enchanted Evening of Art
Norwalk Furniture and Design of Wellington hosted an “enchanted evening of art,” benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphomas Society Man and Woman of the Year 2009 candidates. Candidates included Kim Fontaine of Kim Fontaine Photography, Mel Montes, and Heather Greenhill (who was crowned Woman of the Year 2009). Owner of Norwalk Barbara Marcus, ASID, IIDA and award winning designer graciously hosted the event at her designer showroom.
On hand to greet guest were event coordinators: Eric Gordon Man of the year 2007 and nominating chair 2009 for Man and Woman of the Year, Susan Guilbert Woman of the year 2008, Gene Tondre General Manager and senior designer of Norwalk and Cheryl McNamee Norwalk Designer.
Famed local artist Karen Knight featured amazing pieces from her various
collections. She also donated a painting for a raffle held that evening. Owner David Palmateer of DeVine Bistro and bar the hottest and newest restaurant of Wellington cooked up a storm of the most delicious wild mushroom risotto. The Fresh Market of Wellington brought out gourmet cheeses, fruit and phenomenal desserts. The awesome gang of Viso Lasik Med spas brought out tasty champagne and pastries, as well as donating a facial spa package for the raffle. A beautiful occasion brought out gorgeous décor for the event. Bud Fleisher of Let’s Party was on hand, spinning some great tunes. Thanks to all who donated their services and time.
The event raised an unexpected amount of money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Norwalk Furniture and design is located at 2515 state road 7 in front of the Mall at Wellington Green.
